𓋞 NBU MEANING 𓋞
NUBIA, Founder & Artisan of NBU Bath Botanicals, discovered when deeply researching the origins of her birth name, that the name Nubia is derived from the Egyptian word ‘NBW’ or ‘NBU’ meaning ‘GOLD.’ Egyptian consonant ‘W’ may also be pronounced as ‘U’ and NBU is likely pronounced ‘Nābu’ (nah-bew).
An ancient region & kingdom in Africa, Nubia (NBU), “must have derived from its associations with rock or stone or producing precious stones of carnelian, jasper & amethyst.”
Present in our logo is the Egyptian symbol & hieroglyph for the word ‘GOLD,’ a NEBŪ 𓋞
A NEBŪ is a Nubian shield ring or Gold-beaded collar with 7 spines of precious stones, beads or shells. Surrounding this NEBŪ in our logo is a triangle representing all aspects of the Goddess, the Sky, the Moon & Sun. As well as the illusion of an Egyptian pyramid from both perspectives.
